Hicimos esta canción con amor al ragtime clásico y la energía animada de la música dominicana. Es una mirada satírica a un tipo de hombre que dejó la isla en busca de una vida mejor en Estados Unidos, pero que pasa sus días quejándose de los "blancos racistas" mientras se aferra a una versión unilateral de su herencia e ignora hechos incómodos.

La canción sigue a un padre orgulloso y terco cuyo propio hijo ha empezado a cuestionar las historias con las que creció. A través de un piano ragtime rebotante mezclado con ritmos de merengue y bachata, la canción se burla de la negación, el orgullo selectivo y la negativa a mirarse al espejo — todo ello manteniendo el humor agudo y el groove fuerte.

Como en nuestros otros lanzamientos, esta es música que no teme burlarse de cualquiera y de todos. Creemos en mantener viva la antigua tradición de la sátira sin filtros, de buen carácter (y a veces no tan bondadosa). We made this song with a love for classic ragtime and the lively energy of Dominican music. It’s a satirical look at a certain type of man who left the island for a better life in America, yet spends his days complaining about “racist Whites” while clinging to a one-sided version of his heritage and ignoring inconvenient facts.

The track follows a proud, stubborn father whose own son has started questioning the stories he was raised on. Through bouncing ragtime piano mixed with merengue and bachata rhythms, the song pokes fun at denial, selective pride, and the refusal to look in the mirror — all while keeping the humor sharp and the groove strong.

Like our other releases, this is music that isn’t afraid to rib anyone and everyone. We believe in keeping the old tradition of unfiltered, good-natured (and sometimes not-so-good-natured) satire alive.
